MotusAcademy Seals MoU with GRUPO ICOT to Support Mutual Understanding on Strengthening International Exchange on Academics, Culture and Personal Thoughts

The bilateral agreement was established on the basis of collaboration to mutually promote and support the rehabilitation technology industry.

Spain, 19th June 2022The newly-founded non-profit association MotusAcademy inks its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GRUPO ICOT, a large network of health centres in Canary Islands.

GRUPO ICOT is a network of hospitals that responds to the need or specialised assistance in traffic injuries, traumatology, and rehabilitation. The group operates primarily in Spain. Headquartered in Telde, Las Palmas, Spain, the group will be part of MotusAcademy, a politically neutral, independent, and non-profit organisation that is dedicated to sharing knowledge in the rapidly emerging and growing field of advanced rehabilitation technology.

The platform offers educational resources which are freely available for the advancement of rehabilitative and assistive technology, supported by a minimum of four educational seminars held every year by each of the hubs.

Zen Koh, Founder and Executive Director of MotusAcademy says, “I am pleased to have GRUPO ICOT to be part of MotusAcademy. Together, we can make a difference in the rehabilitation robotics field. Let’s empower the industry together!”

Both organisations will continue to play a part in educating and improving the rehabilitation field with advanced assistive and rehabilitative technologies and skills.

Zen is a visionary and pioneering influencer in the field of MedTech and Robotics for Rehabilitation. Under his leadership, Fourier has raised over USD100 million, notably in 2022, from renowned investors such as Saudi Aramco Prosperity 7 venture and Softbank Vision Fund 2.
