Headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland, MotusAcademy, a knowledge-sharing platform about the rehabilitation industry, recently engaged in an educational talk with students from Inti International University. Conducted on campus, the event was attended by 40 students pursuing their Bachelor’s Degrees in Physiotherapy.

Representatives from MotusAcademy took the opportunity to share the latest trends and technologies within the industry while allowing students to experience some of the latest devices in the market. Jackson LAU from Malaysia shared an introduction to rehabilitation technologies with views from the industry.

With the vision of providing continuing education in rehabilitation technology, MotusAcademy is passionate and dedicated to providing cutting-edge learning tools and technologies designed to enhance the learning experience for students of all ages.

“It is an honour for us here at MotusAcademy, to be invited to share at a prestigious institution. We are committed to providing continuous education and key insights into robotics and advanced technologies as applied to healthcare. Because of this, we are thrilled to be able to play our part by fuelling the passions of these students about robotics and AI. In addition, we hope that our efforts will be able to attract new talents into the industry as a whole”, shared Prof. Robert Riener, Co-Founder & President of MotusAcademy.

He added: “At the end of the day, technology is just a tool. Ultimately, the mind behind the technology is what makes the difference. When we reach out to students, we aim to stimulate their minds while giving them a larger picture of the industry. “Rehabilitation has come a long way. As technology progresses, we hope this will allow for greater breakthroughs, not only in the therapies we offer patients but also in breathing new life into conventional rehabilitation methods.

“We are glad to have MotusAcademy coming to our campus and interacting with the students. It was an amazing experience, whereby lecturers and students enjoyed themselves, especially during the demonstrations. We hope to organise more of such events and look forward to visiting their centre in the future, ” said Mr. Raj Kumar, Head of Programme & Senior Lecturer, Inti International University.

Since its launch in May 2022, MotusAcademy has become the leading education platform for rehabilitation technology, bringing together some of the most experienced developers of cutting-edge robotics and other assistive technologies with the latest research and clinical evidence.

“There are many new and revolutionising breakthroughs in healthcare today. However, our greatest tool is the ability to share this knowledge with others in the field. Being founded on the value of collaboration, we aim to bring together healthcare providers and industry partners to promote rehabilitation innovation, education, and research”, said Zen Koh, Co-founder & Executive Director of MotusAcademy.

Besides free learning opportunities, MotusAcademy also provides unique access to experts offering insightful commentary in webinars and podcasts recorded at their facilities around the globe. The organisation hopes its efforts will improve the therapies provided to patients and bring new life to conventional rehabilitation methods.
