Professor Rui Loureiro is Professor of Surgical and Rehabilitation Engineering at University College London, where he leads the Department of Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Science. He is widely recognised for pioneering the application of robotics and virtual reality in rehabilitation, including work related to stroke recovery, movement disorders, amputation, pain management, and surgical planning.
