MotusAcademy Foundation is the impact-driven arm of the MotusAcademy ecosystem, working to expand access to rehabilitation knowledge, technology, education, and implementation worldwide. Through strategic initiatives anchored in Sioux Falls and South Dakota, the Foundation is helping create a growing hub for rehabilitation robotics, assistive technology, translational care, and future-focused workforce development.
Our work focuses on advancing meaningful access across rural communities, Veteran rehabilitation, caregiver support, education pathways, and interdisciplinary innovation. By connecting clinicians, researchers, engineers, institutions, industry partners, and communities, we aim to help rehabilitation technologies move from isolated innovation into real-world impact.
Through programmes, partnerships, research visibility, and ecosystem development, MotusAcademy Foundation supports a future where rehabilitation capability is more accessible, more connected, and more inclusive for the people and communities who need it most.

MotusAcademy is a Swiss-based, non-profit, member-driven society accelerating the safe and equitable adoption of advanced rehabilitation technologies. We bring together clinicians, engineers, researchers, payers, policymakers, industry leaders, and—most importantly—people living with disability to advance education, evidence, and collaboration across the global rehabilitation ecosystem.
Our mission is to equip and connect the rehabilitation community with trusted knowledge, practical skills, and shared standards so that therapeutic robotics and allied technologies measurably improve function, independence, and quality of life.
