Rehabilitation Access and Innovation

MotusAcademy is helping shape a more connected and accessible future for rehabilitation through education, rehabilitation technology, research, and collaborative innovation. By bringing together rehabilitation robotics, assistive technology, translational care, and interdisciplinary expertise, the organisation works to help promising ideas move beyond research and into real-world care, recovery, and community impact.

At the heart of this mission is a belief that rehabilitation should be more accessible, more human-centered, and more equitable for the people and communities who need it most.

As part of this broader vision, MotusAcademy Foundation leads community-focused initiatives that expand rehabilitation access across rural communities and underserved populations. Through programmes connected to South Dakota and broader U.S.-based initiatives, the Foundation supports workforce development, Veteran rehabilitation, caregiver support, assistive technology access, and practical rehabilitation innovation that improves daily life and long-term outcomes.

Together, MotusAcademy and MotusAcademy Foundation are helping build a future where rehabilitation knowledge, technology, and care are more connected, accessible, and impactful for people everywhere.

About Atlas

ATLAS Council (Applied Technology Leadership & Standards) is a flagship initiative within the MotusAcademy ecosystem, bringing together leaders across rehabilitation technology, rehabilitation robotics, neurotechnology, translational care, and implementation science.

As rehabilitation continues to evolve, ATLAS helps support the education, standards, and collaborative learning needed to prepare healthcare professionals, researchers, engineers, and innovators for the future of rehabilitation care.

Through expert-led dialogue, training initiatives, and global collaboration, ATLAS helps strengthen practical knowledge exchange and responsible technology adoption across rehabilitation and healthcare settings. Its work supports MotusAcademy’s broader mission to improve accessibility, independence, and quality of life through evidence-informed and human-centered rehabilitation innovation.
